Photoshop 6 freezes when I do save as

When I open a jpg, then do save as…, Photoshop 6 locks up. I tried uninstalling the program via Add/Remove Hardware, but got a message saying: ‘c:…Photoshop6\Uninst.isu not valid or corrupt. Can’t uninstall.’
So I re-installed the program over itself, but the problem continued and I still couldn’t uninstall.

Any thoughts? Thanks

I’m not too sure if this is valid advice for PS6. But with the newer versions, any odd behaviour can often be the caused by a corrupted preference file.

Try resetting this, following the instructions in the FAQs.
