With the Move Tool selected, look at the Options Bar.

If the "Show Bounding Box" option is selected you can grab the Bounding Box anchors/handles which now surround the objects on a selected layer and resize/transform them. When you do this the Options Bar will automatically switch over to show the options you would have if you had simply called up Transform (CTRL + T).

If you inspect the Options Bar, you’ll see that you can enter specific values for height, width, x and y positions, rotation etc. You can Right-Click on the numerical entry fields and change the unit of measurement — pixels, inches, centimeters, percent, etc.

Is there something you need to do that can’t be addressed by those capabilities?

Atif,

No the Info palette is just that – it gives current information

However, following a ctrl+T you can set width, height, rotation etc from the control bar.

Different paradigm.

Flash uses objects, Photoshop pixels

Is it possible to change the x & y default from pixels to inches? I’m not averse to editing the registry or driver files.

(CS2 on Windows XP)

Right-Click on either of the Rulers (expose them by using CTRL+R) and you’ll see a menu of Units of Measurement.

You can also change units by clicking on the "+" icon next to the x,y field in the Info Palette.
