Hi Nikki 🙂
Thanks for your comments 🙂 I was thinking of adding sub sections to the categories, but the problem is that as a Corel user myself, I may not know what tutorials fall under which category. I could probably get away with the Photoshop ones, but most of the others I wouldn’t know what goes where. Perhaps if I can get some of my friends to help out, that may be something I do in the future.
You mentioned this:
"It would be nice if you
could sub-catagorize the tutorials, either by subject, or by tutorial originator."
Sorting by source name (tutorial originator) is currently one of the sort options 🙂 I may add an option to "show only" or something.
Once I get the other sections done (Filters and 3D models) I’ll probably go back to the tutorial section (The primary focus) and add some new functions. I have tons of ideas for the site, but as I do work fulltime and have a 10 month old baby, I can only do what time allows me 🙂
Haha… no there is no plans to sell anything. Perhaps in the future there will be additional services I offer that are not free (Tutorials etc will ALWAYS be free), but I haven’t really thought about it and I’m not even close to worrying about it. I have a sig and logo request section in the forum and I do them for free. The small donations I get from people that I do work for pays some of the hosting, and I don’t mind paying the rest. As long as that stays reasonable, I have no need to make more money. Like I said, it’s a hobby 🙂
Anyhow, thanks for making my saite a fave and feel free to send me more suggestions!

Hi Stuart,

Hey guys,
I’ve started a new site, which is basically a tutorial index and
search
engine for photoshop and other graphic apps. There’s also free image hosting for sig files and such, and I’m starting a 3d model and
Photoshop
filter area etc… Anyhow, just though you guys might like to check
it
out,
and if you have a site with tutorials, feel free to submit them.

Just what we need. Another Tutorial site.
Actually, this is just what I needed. I have spent the last 2 hours looking at tutorials on your site. Another wasted Friday nite, but think of the money I saved. I can go and buy another filter for my camera(yes, Real Glass, not Digital trickery).
The Photography tutorials on your site, by Robert D Feinman, are on par with the best photography tutorials on the web. As you can probably tell, I am more interested in the digital image manipulation tutorials than the "How to create a Shiny button" tutorials. That brings me to a suggestion for browser control. It would be nice if you could sub-catagorize the tutorials, either by subject, or by tutorial originator. I personally use sub-catagories within Photoshop such as, Color Correction–Sharpening–Selections–Masking techniques… etc, to allow me to find my subject of interest within my own database. It makes finding a particular subject tutorial much more productive. Wading thru the 25 pages of Photoshop tutorials on your site is a challange(I only made it thru the first 15), and it will only get worse as you add more content.
Maybe this is a great and nobel idea to further mankinds knowledge base or maybe it’s just a chance for you to sell some e-products, but I have your site bookmarked in my Favorites folder.
