I am on Photoshop CS and would like to put a square over a ball and manipulate the square to make it "bend around" the ball so that it looks like it is stuck to the ball. I have tried ‘distort’ but that does not seem to work.

Did you not try any of the suggestions given as answers in your duplicate thread? (the forum moderator will most likely combine these threads)

Wesley’s Warp Tool idea would work, but I think you need CS2 for that.

Thank you for your message. I had a problem with my pc when I posted the first question and couldn’t find it, so thought it hadn’t registered.

I have tried ctrl T and then right clicking, but don’t have Warp tool so I think you are right and need CS2. I thought the Photoshop prior to CS had a 3D tool, but this version doesn’t. I am getting the best results from the pinch filter as suggested, but it’s not ideal.
Many thanks

There is a rudimentary 3D tool on the installation CD (in "Goodies" I think).
