Anyone know why?

What are you trying to Transform? What version of Photoshop?

There’s no Perspective Transform on text for example, up to ver 8 at least, unless you rasterize.

2. Your right, it is working on a graphic, but not text. 3 I just noticed Filters>Render>Lighting Effects is greyed out too (is that because Im in a CMYK or something?)

Jim,

if your image is Grayscale or Indexed Color, then
convert to RGB. Otherwise the values cannot be inter-
plated (as far as I remember).

Several filters will only work in RGB. Lighting Effects is one of them, unfortunately.
