I believe that most of the editing of my Digital SLR astronomical images can be handled quite nicely in Photoshop CS2. It is very nice to be able to work on other’s CCD camera Fits files through the above plugin, but I will be working on Spectrographic images of the stars captured with my DSLR
and all of the software for converting spectrums to Flux Graphs work with the Fits format.

I am unable to convert to FITS in Photoshop at present – Will this capability be added to the current version of CS2? – Will it be added to the next (CS3) version?

– If the answers to the above are NO then can anyone recommend a program that can.

Cheers

No, FITS is being supported by a third party.

FITS Liberator is the FITS support plugin.
