My work drive (D: FAT32) is called "Projects". After open/save a image file from/to this drive, Photoshop change the label to "PROJECTS".

Question: why Photoshop change the driver label??

Thanks,

Roger

Are you sure it was Photoshop that did this?

I haven’t used FAT32 in a long time (NTFS only setup), but I thought volume names in FAT32 were restricted to uppercase only.

Yes, I like my drive volume names in proper case. I’ve tested rebooting the computer with all driver labels in proper case and opened two files in two different drivers, and both had the volume label changed to uppercase. Both FAT32 (Windows 2000 Server SP4).

This is something very strange IMHO…

Photoshop can’t touch the volume name.
Something else on your system changed (either the name or the display of the name).
