I’ve just installed Photoshop CS2 on my win xp computer. I was testing the filters and discovered that all but 5 of my sketch filters don’t work. They just go all white. All other filters are fine. I’m testing them on a small photo: 8 bit and RGB mode. What could be wrong? Maybe some didn’t install? I also have Photoshop Elements 4 and it has these same filters. They work fine in Elements so at least I can work around this, but I’d like to figure out whats wrong.

Any help? Thanks!

Judy

The absolute easiest thing to do, is to have PS open, try to run a filter that "doesn’t work", and before committing the filter, take a screenshot (Alt-Print Screen). Post that screenshot somewhere and tell us the link.

Many of the gallery filters depend on your current foreground and background colors. If both of those are set to white, then you may get an all white result.

Thanks!!! That was my problem. I had white as foreground and background for some reason. Works now!
