The cursors are set to look like small icons, such as airbrush, bucket etc, which initially they do, but after a while they all look like crosshairs so one can’t tell which tool is selected.

Tried uninstalling, reboot, reinstall several times, to no avail. Ran registry cleanup tools and deleted adobe / photoshop folders and registry entries.

Anyone recognise this problem, or have help to offer?

The Caps Lock key temporarily changes how the brushes and such look. Toggling it off, will cause the brush to revert to its normal look.
