Hi
Thanks for all the help I recieved last time.
I know you guys are much better at all of this then I and my questions are probably stupid to you but..

I am trying to reach a standard canvas size, one that will always be the same size. I want it to be about the size of a piece of printing paper. 8.5×11.
Problem is

The canvass is a different size everytime I open photoshop and when I try to resize it the mesurements (even tho they are the same numbers) are not the same size as I wanted (like last time). The page is either bigger or smaller. How do I fix my canvas to be the size of paper and be that way unless I change it?

I made something I need to print but it isnt the size I thought it would be once I hit print preview. Is there a way to make it the right size w/o making everything BLURY and CUTTING OFF some of the images?? If so how?

Select A4 from the drop-down in the FILE>NEW dialogue and make sure the resolution is always set to 300 ppi.

If your printer cannot print "full bleed" or "borderless", you will need to keep important parts of the image a quarter inch or so away from the edge of the document bounds.

Here’s who to tell exactly how much area you can print.

Create a document in Photoshop at 8½" wide × 11" high.

Create a thick line running the full height from top to bottom, and another running the full width.

Print this.

Now you’ll be able to physically measure how much of the lines get cut off along each edge if your printer doesn’t allow for "borderless" printing.

Then you’ll know the maximum area you have within which you can create a document to print. You might want to make a blank 8½" × 11" template with guidelines that very clearly show you where those measured cut-off points are. Then limit your image to the confines of those guidelines.
