I imported a Illustrator 10 drawing into PS. In PS I with the pen tool I create a benzie pen line with curves and it comes out with a fill.? When I select a brush tool and hit return it cannot change to a brush stroke because it is uneditable with any tool. I am trying to highlight a curved pipe in PS and seems this would work fine but I canno do it. Any suggestions? thanks.

Ron, I am not sure what version of PS you are using, but in CS2 or CS and maybe another version back (7), look in the options bar at the top of your working space and, with the pen selected notice three small icons on the left side. The first one on the left will give you a shape layer, the middle one a path (that you can stroke) and the third one is pixel based. Seems like you should be using the one in the middle.

I have imported an Illustrator 10 drawing into PS7. When I use the pen tool to draw a curve, it creates a fill along with line and when I select the brush tool and hit return to change the line into a brush stroke, it won’t do it because it is an unedable file.? I am trying to highlight a curve pipe and think this is the best way. Any suggestions? Thanks.
