Sorry if this is already posted, but I can’t find it. I ran the 9.0.2 update last night and was happy that it fixed the menu focus problems I was having. However, when I booted today, most of my image files are messed up…can’t see the thumbnails in Bridge…can’t open the images, even in Windows Viewer. The data is there, but I can’t get to it. If I open one of them in PS, I get a blank white box. Help! I’ve called Adobe all morning, and the phone sends you through 5 menus, then disconnects you, no matter what # you call. I could jump off a bridge!!

The Photoshop 9.0.2 update doesn’t affect Bridge.

What kinds of files are you having problems with?

Well, there’s a connection somewhere because I can see the images in Windows Explorer, but not in Bridge. I can’t open them in Photoshop. I can save them to disk and open fine on another PC. The images are there, and they’re fine, but Photoshop is having nothing to do with them now. They are jpg and RAW(NEF) files.

There is no connection, but something happened to Bridge about the same time you installed the upate.

You need to focus on your Bridge problems (and for that, I suggest the Bridge forum).

Chris,
Thanks for your help. I finally solved it a few minutes ago. My permissions got all wanked at the same time the update was installed…have no idea why, but even the Administrator login couldn’t access the files…but once I got that straight, I was able to clear the cache in Bridge and regenerate the thumbnails AND open the images in PS (not being able to do that was the real scary part!!) I’m recovering from my hysteria and considering a margarita lunch! Thanks again for the advice!
