Hi, i’ve been using my photoshop 7 for a while now with no problems, and now for some reason, when I try to select part of a picture using the marquee tools, (either rectangle or circle, neither work) I get this message: Warning: No pixels are more than 50% selected. The selection edges will not be visable.

I am running windows xp, and as I said, i’ve never had this problem before. Any ideas?

Hi Lisa,

Sounds like the feathering is set too high in the Options Bar. What is it currently set to?

That means that your selection is feathering 250 pixels around the edge of the selection. Depending on the size of your image, I can see where this would cause the message your getting.

Change it to 0 (which will give you a hard edge to your selection), and you shouldn’t get the message. If you do need to feather the selection, try a smaller amount to see if you still get the effect you are after.
