Tooltips/pull downs are dissapearing

Hi all. Lately Photoshop has been doing some weird things for me. After about 10 minutes of working I’ve been finding that pull downs such as brushes, tools and the entire top menubar are coming up undeveloped or non responsive. The computer is running fine as far as I can tell, even though it seems like a memory thing. I recently purchased another monitor and am working across 2 now, but that’s really the only change I’ve made. Any ideas?
