What kind of logo?

You can Google search on clipart, logos, vector art, etc. Or clients can supply their own if you are not up to designing them yourself.

Shahram:

The hint was in post #2

The "holding you by the hand" answer was in post #3

( 14,200,000 found for logo artwork – in 0.48 seconds )

Would you like Ed and I to design one for you?!!!

Are you looking for a logo for a company already in existence, or do you want to design a brand new logo for a company?

If you want an already existent logo, look to some of the links in the following thread, particularly Brands of the World:
Phosphor.Digital, "Resources: Patterns, Brushes, Custom Shapes, etc." #5, 4 Sep 2003 4:30 pm </cgi-bin/webx?14/5>

If you want to design a brand new logo…well, you’ll need to, umm…do that yourself.

And make sure you design using vectors (for infinite resizability with no quality loss).

Are you crazy?
Do you think I am going to use SONY logo in my card?
I said I am looking for free logo that has been made by people.

Think about it.

You can’t use SONY logo (or any other registered one).

You need SHAHRAM logo.

Can’t find one?

Make one!

We don’t know anything about you or your business, so how can we know what kind of logo you need?

Think of something that expresses the idea of your business as an abstract design and develop your logo from there.

Or as Ed said in an earlier post, find something on the web that appeals to you and use that.

My Girlfriend (a sculpturist) always says that the sculpture is already in the block of stone, she only has to carve away the surplus matter to get to her shape inside.

Now, if we all pull our strengths together we might donate a black shape, so Shahram only has to erase what he doesn’t need.

"Are you crazy?"

Some might say so.

"Do you think I am going to use SONY logo in my card?"

I must have missed it. Did you say whether you needed a logo "MADE BY PEOPLE" (What do you mean by that?) for a company already in existence? Or is this a personal logo for you? Or for somebody else?

Simmer down, sonny, and please explain VERY clearly what you’re trying to do.

And if you’re after some brand new, never-before-seen logo, how the heck could anybody but YOU make a decision about what you should use for something that is as highly personal as a logo? We have NO idea what you want kind of message you want the logo to convey, what sort of business you might want it to represent, what style of image you’re looking for.

A logo is a miraculous thing, and the simplest lines can convey a grand or subtle idea.

Without a clearer definition about what you’re after there’s no way somebody can guide you.

One to get you started?

Hola people
I had guys whom I design a business cards, with their company’s name on it, "any" "JOE’S LANDSCAPE " just the name, and they will call me and ask me if I can send them "THEIR" logo because they need it to put it in a t-shirt, so be nice with Shahram, he is on a mission.

Geez, you would think a big fancy program like Adobe would have a Logo Wizard or something.

Or that google should give you a site that has logos that nobody has ever actually made.

Maybe like logos that died years ago and are waiting in logo-heaven as the souls of logos, and are waiting to be reborn as a real-live a logo!

Hola Phosphor

What I try to say was that, a lot of people don’t want to pay for a logo, so their company name (just plain text) became their logo. So for some people logos, are not necessary something fancy, well done identities, and any thing that looks like a logo –specially if they didn’t have to pay for it– looks great, and they took it as their logo.

However, I remember back in Photoshop 6, that I didn’t know anything (still learning now with CS2) about how to do or used the program, so I don’t "see" very hard to understand Shahram.

Shahram, keep looking because, most of us "MOST OF US" learn the same way…asking, reading, looking.

Have a great day.

btw, you would do better creating the logo in Illustrator, not Photoshop (unless you use just vector shapes).

shahram,

Why don’t you tell us what you think a logo is, and what it is used for?

I’d be interested in your perception…

"There is always some bad apples, but never the whole basket."

The apples started to rot the minute Shahram decided s/he didn’t want to clearly explain further what s/he wanted to do.

Then calling me "crazy" for making the most valid suggestion I could offer by linking to a thread which would lead to all kinds of logos.

Eff that. I’m done.
