using the fresco filter photoshop 7 windows xp dell

Hello – i am trying to use the fresco filter with a color (rgb) image and each time i apply the filter it changes the image to black and white. the file is set for rgb and i have not changed it to grayscale. How can I get the image to remain in color with the freso filter? Thank you, George
