Using CS2 for about 3 weeks, converting an RGB image to greyscale asks if you want to remove the colour data, click OK and you get a monchrome (B/W)result. But now in the past 3 days, doing this results in a sepia (yellowish) result. The background colour box / swatch also changes to sepia. In RGB or CMYK mode, "monochrome" images are black /white. Only when I try to go to full greyscale does this sepia tint happen. Operating on XP SP2. Any ideas?

Your monitor profile has become corrupt.

You need to make a new one.

Or, if you haven’t created one, you should do so with Adobe Gamma in the control panel.
