Hi All,

I ran into another problem I dnt know if anyone can help. When I Create a text in photoshop at 30dpi, when printed out, the edges of some of the fonts looks jagged up as if its pixelating or something. I get this in other works I do in photoshop as well. Can anybody please help me in solving this problem? is there some sort of edge smoothing or something?

Thank you for your help in advance.

For print (or anything else, come to think of it) 30 ppi is much to low, hence the jagged edges. For print use 240 or 300 ppi.

Assuming you just missed a zero in your post, and you meant 300 dpi, because 30 is just silly, when you are typing text, check out the top bar, little aa symbol, anti-aliasing method, check smooth and see if that helps. Also check your printer properties in the control panel, output res, "fastest print time", dithering method etc., see if there is something in there that could be goofballing your output.

Thanks Guys I just missed the extra 0 in my 300dpi. I will try the font smothing as suggested by Heather.

Thanks for your response, I appreciate it.

You should also note that when printing to a postscript printer, the resolution is ignored and the text is passed directly on to the printer as text.
