I’ve just recently explored creating rounded corners in 7.0 using the selection tool (used with the duplicating tool) and the shape tool.

What I’d like to do now is find a way to round the corners of a photograph I’ve imported. Is there a filter to do that? I’ve scoured the web and can’t seem to find out how…

Thank you.

Jason,

There are several ways to do it. Here’s mine. I click on the rounded rectangle tool. In the options bar on the left hand side, I use Paths, then I set my degree of rounding in pixels (although you can use any measurement such as percent, inches, etc.).

Draw your rounded rectangle over the image (I use guides on the image borders so the rounded rectangle will snap).

In the paths pallet you’ll see a work path. Click on the button at the bottom of the pallet that says Load Path As Selection. Then, invert your selection and press delete.

Peace,
Tony
