using stamp tool on 2 layers

hi

know its possibe to use the stamp tool on all layers, but then the picture gets painted on 1 layer. is it possible to use the stamptool on all layers and then paint it on different layers again?

im using photoshop CS.

hope you can help me.

The stamp will only ever paint on a single layer at a time (but it can sample from all visible layers)

What exactly are you trying to do?

need this for making textures for a 3d program. that´is why I need it on different layers. 1 for the texture and 1 for the bump/displacement map.

Ah, I see you want each layer to be affected separately by a single stroke of the (rubber stamp) brush so that layer A pixels are cloned onto layer A and layer B pixels are cloned onto layer B.
