I’m brand new to Photoshop and am still a little fuzzy on all its features and capabilities. I’ve attempted searches of this forum and the knowledge base for an answer, and I’m thinking I may not be using the correct terminology. So, please allow me to post my query and hopefully someone can point me in the right direction here. Also, I hope I’m posting to the correct forum.

I have a wonderful stock photo that I’m planning to use as a background for my youth baseball program. It is a group of arms "bucking up" on a bat. All of the arms are of white kids, and, for political correctness, I’ve been asked to change one or two of these arms to represent kids of color. Painting over the arms, obviously, isn’t the answer. What I want to do is apply a color wash (is that the correct term?) to each arm so to change the color of the arm while still maintaining features like blemishes, arm hair, fingernails, etc. Can this be done? Do I need a plug-in to accomplish this?
