CS2 workspace background color

My workspace background color is dark gray and I want it white, as I had it on my previous CS2 installation. How can I change it to white?

Set your foreground colour to R192 G192 B192 and shift click on it with the bucket tool

Edit:

Wait if you want white, you’ll need to set he foreground colour to R255 G255 B255

(Most people want the default grey after loosing it)

If you want white just click in the small overlapping black and white squares towards the bottom of the toolbar and then double-headed arrow by the larger overlapping black and white squares.

Hi there,

Just in case CMA is asking about the colour of the background of the workspace and not the background of an image, you need to do that in windows.

Right click on the desktop and select properties.
Choose Appearance and then click on the Advanced button. In the drop down list, choose Application Background and then select the colour you want. Click OK twice to close the display properties dialog.

Now when you start CS2 the background will be whatever colour you chose.

White is said to be a bad colour to have as your background in image editing, as it can cause your visual receptors to see colours differently from waht they really are. Mid gray is usually recomended as it is neutral and does not affect the eye in the same as white is supposed to.
