Over the last couple of days, I have noticed that all graphics opened in Photoshop are lightened in some sort of way, but when I actually save them to web, the colours are correct.

Has anyone else experienced this? I haven’t changed anything that I know of in the software or hardware wise either.

I’ve come to the conclusion that it has something to do with the color profiles and proof setup feature, though I’ve never adjusted either of those things.

So now, I’m looking for a solution to reset Photoshop back to displaying files as it used to, not with the odd desaturation it is doing now.

Your conclusion is correct.

What are your colour settings?

I’m curious as to how my settings got off though. I’m leaning towards an accidental CTRL-Y pressing when going to hit CTRL-T, though I don’t understand why when proofing is turned off that it doesn’t display files as it once did.

So what about those colour settings?
