I am creating multiple types of images that need to under a certain file size.

Optimizing a file to a certain size through "Save for Web.. > Optimize to File Size …" is not recordable in an action or script (that I know of).

Any thoughts or suggestions on how to get around that? Maybe a plug-in?

enzo. :)~

You are right, this is not recordable, and as far as I know, there’s no immediate solution. You should post this in the Feature Request section if its something you’d like to see in future versions.

What about scripting a call to an ImageReady droplet?

Enzo,

You’re correct that it is not actionable, but it can be scripted. Contact me if you need help (tmorris – at – fundy – dot – net).
