Hello,

We need to create an application that will be written in either PHP (preferrable) or ASP and using droplets.

There will be a number of images in the application.

The user needs to be able to
a) choose one of the available images
b) input some text into an interface (HTML, Visual Basic or other)
c) submit this text and have it applied to the image and saved out as
a new file

I can envision that the best way to accomplish this is using droplets. But we need to understand how to get the script to interact with the droplet so that the new text is added to the image.

Does anybody know how to do this or where I could find a useful tutorial?

Thanks in advance,
Stephen

Do you really need it as a new file? Is perhaps the new image going to be used only to display on a web site with the text over it? If the later is the case, then no image manipulation is neccessary; just cut the HTML for them to display image/layer.

If, on the other hand, you are offering to customize an image they can download, then you _can_ have PS (or CS) running on the server and you can pass arguments to PS/CS through the droplet. It’s a foreign command entry, so to speak.

So, which is it you are trying to do: Let them download a ‘stamped’ image or just create an image for web display with text over it?
