Transferring CS2 configuration to new system

I installed CS2 on a new computer, after having deactivated it on the old computer and then activating on the new computer. I can no longer get into CS2 on the old computer and check the Preferences.
How do I transfer my configuration settings to the new CS2 installation? Thanks, CMA

It is possible to have Photoshop activated on two computers at the same time. One of these computers is at work and the other is at home, right? RIGHT?! 😉

It should be possible, however, to simply copy the .psp file from one box to the next.

I found numerous .psp files (some for Photoshop 7.0, some for CS and some for CS2). Should I copy all the CS2 .psp files from one computer to the other?
Any danger in that?

Should be no problem. Respect the directory locations. If something goes wrong, Photoshop will create brand new default prefs.

Nobody said anything about work and home!

The criterion is that only one should be used at any one time.

Otherwise what would you do if work is the same location as home?

The main intent is that you can use one copy on your desktop workstation in your studio or office and have another copy on a laptop for location, travel, or any other portable use.

If the two computers are networked, and you try to use both versions at once, the second one you open will tell you that you can only use one copy at a time. But if you’re working in Photoshop, you’re probably not running between computers.

I have two licenses. I can install four copies, but any one particular license can only be used alone. So I can run at most two copies at the same time, if there was ever a reason to do so. And they’d have to be different licenses.
