It was working fine for me before, but suddenly when I try to use Auto Levels, it turns all of my images completely red! I must have pressed something I shouldn’t have, changed a default setting or something, but I don’t know how to make Auto Levels work again. I’ve tried restarting my computer but the problem persists.

I’d be extremely grateful for any help. It’s rather urgent, so I’ll even offer a *VERY* small reward (i.e. a couple dollars in your PayPal account) for the first helpful response I receive, provided you send your response within the next three hours. That is, by 10:00 pm EST. I’d offer more if I had more!

Thank you.

1. Image | Adjust | Levels (i.e, *not* Auto Levels, yet)
2. *Double* click on the white level eye dropper, and set the white level to something sensible
3. Repeat, for the grey and black levels
3. Click Ok, and exit out

Auto levels might work better now, but I’m not 100% sure this will work.

Delete your Preferences file, that should cause Auto Levels to default back to the original settings.
