Ive done something and I dont know how to fix it, Say Im working with an 8×10 picture and when I zoom out of the picture the space around the 8×10 picture used to be gray and now it is all black and it is making it really hard to work with. Does that make sense? I have tried everything to change the color back to gray but I cant figure it out. Please help! Thank you!

You may have hit one of the view buttons, they’re on the bottom of the tool pallette.

With the Eyedropper, choose 50% (or any other shade of) grey from the swatches palette, so it becomes the foreground colour, then switch to the "Paint Bucket" tool and Shift-click in the area around the outside of the image.

Edit: sigh. I found it in the help file. You just have to know to look for "fill the work canvas"
