I run CS2 on a couple of machines and would like to copy a set of actions I created on one machine, over to another machine. Is this possible?

Yes. You save Sets, not individual actions. In the Actions Tab there’s a little arrow/triangle in the upper right hand corner of the tab. You’ll find joy there.

…..and, as far as the actual file transfer is concerned, just copy the content of the [PS root]\Presets\Photoshop Actions folder from one PC to the other. This assumes you only have your actions in that default location, as they also can be loaded in from other locations via the options in the menu that YrbkMgr alluded to. Further, as the actions are in sets, be aware that if you copy an action set file from one PC over to replace that on another PC, it will replace all actions in that set. So, be sure that you don’t have any recently created actions in the action sets being replaced or you’ll lose them.

Where is "THE" FAQ? I’ve been reading this newsgroup for a while and have seen no mention of an official FAQ for the newsgroup. Is this an Adobe produced FAQ on Adobe’s web site somewhere?
