I have tried all combinations of Borderless printing (Epson Driver), Scale to fit Media and picture clipping occurs one way or the other.
Example would be:
Create a 24" x 40" image (bitmap & vector, a non mix is the same results) Print with Preview
Page Setup button
Define which printer and its properties (Borderless is here)including paper size. I use roll paper primarily. Here I do a user defined 24" x 40" paper (24" roll paper by whatever 2nd dimension)
Selecting Borderless and no Scale To Media, PS complains that it is going to clip, and it does if I proceed to print.
Selecting Borderless and Scale To Media, PS no longer complains that it is going to clip, but the image is clipped.
The paper size can be defined in 0.01" increments (24" x 40" would be 2400 x 4000)
But regardless it seems to clip.
Actually the same thing happens with my Epson 2200.
What I have discovered is that if I have defined the paper as 44" x 25" on a 44" roll, and print the same picture (24" x 40")in landscape mode (plenty of whitespace, a.k.a. waste) the image prints dead nuts on.
So, I am starting to come to the conclusion that borderless, low waste printing is not feasible.
Is this the Epson driver, PS, or both not playing well together.
Any input or alternative resources would be appreciated.
