Is it possible to click and drag several different pictures onto the same background layer without creating a separate layer for each picture? Say about 20 small pictures. The reason being I would like to give a drop shadow effect to all the images at the same time and change it collectively if I am not happy with the effect.

Thanks

Peter,

Dragging/pasteing an image onto any layer creates another layer. Have you tried applying a layer style to the first layer, copying the layer style, selecting all the layers you want to apply the style to and the pasteing the layer style?
