I created a web photo gallery and it works great. When I then create another photo gallery, the photos are fine, but it keeps the same name of the first photo gallery. How do you change this?

Once I sent them to GoLive, I change the names, but once you open the gallery to view it, it continues to give me the name from the first gallery. Can someone tell me how I can change this.

I can’t use my help files, and no where does it give me any info on this.

Thanks!

Elizabeth

Hi Elizabeth,

This sounds to me as though you didn’t change the title of the web gallery, although the nature of your question at least implies you did. I assume that when you created the 2nd gallery, you did place it into a separate folder didn’t you, so it would not overwrite the first one? Keeping in mind that the gallery folder and file structures are identical, it is important to place each gallery into its own folder.

So, I suggest you review how you created the galleries and see if the steps followed something like this:

1. Define Gallery 1, with source path from which images will be collected, and a destination folder as a UNIQUE folder, "Gallery 1" for example.

2. Modify the Options as desired, in particular the Banner, which is the web page title for your gallery.

3. Generate Gallery 1.

4. Define Gallery 2, changing the source path as needed, and defining another unique destination folder such as "Gallery 2".

5. The last used options are retained I believe, so make sure you at least update the Banner, to reflect the name of the new gallery.

6. Generate Gallery 2.

….and so on.

Hope this helps,

Daryl

Yes, I have done this. The only thing I didn’t do is put it into a totally different area. I am using these on a web page so I always create a different folder, even in the web site, but for some reason it continues to pick up the older name even after my changing the banner and whatever else I have changed.

I will try saving it to a totally different area on my drive and then bring it into my web folder.

Thanks.
