Cannot open photoshop in OSX

Running Photoshop 7 within OSX.
All of a sudden I’m getting the message:
"Could not initialize Photoshop because there is not enough memory (RAM)".
Have tried the obvious solution in reducing my RAM allocation but no change. I can open in Classic so think the problem is OSX related.

Hope someone can help.

Running Photoshop 7 within OSX.
All of a sudden I’m getting the message:

What kind of computer do you have? How much RAM is in your computer?

I thought on OSX you couldn’t change the RAM allocation?

Is that a Photoshop error message or Finder error message?

PS. I would say the "obvious" solution would be to buy more RAM. How much do you have right now?
