I am starting to use Photoshop and After Effects more with My 3ds Max productions.

I have made a few animated mask moview with Photoshop manually saving out every frame as i paint out areas.

Is there a way to automate this process? Like Painting along a path or something and have an Adobe product tween my keyframes and output a movie?

I expect there is i just have no idea how to do it…

Hard to say without having more details of what exactly you are doing?

Why are you painting the transparency manually in PS?

Why not render the transparency with 3DMax or AE (as the case may be) ?
