Anyone know how to input an ASCII character while using the text tool? The standard Windows method of holding down the ALT key while entering the numeric code doesn’t seem to work.

The ALT key method works perfectly well; that’s how many of us type the copyright symbol (Alt+0169). You must use the numbers on the keypad, not the ones at the top row of the keyboard. If you are using a laptop, you may need to hold down the Fn (or similar) key that activates the alternate layout where there is a keypad overlaid on the letters (e.g., on Dell laptops, U=4, J=1, etc.).
