Hello,

I have PS CS2 and it works well, but I have a problem. At least once a week the program will reset itself as if I deleted the preferences. Even the first installation startup screen will show up. All my tools and menus will reset along with some other things such as window positions. Anybody know why?

thanks,
Bryce

Are you shutting down the computer with Photoshop running?

no. I have 2G of RAM and every night is shut down using ctrl+Q

Once in a while PS won’t shutdown correctly, but most of the time it shuts down just fine. Also, my Open/Save As and other windows are about 2twice as big as my screen. Everytime I close and reopen PS I have to resize these windows because they go off the screen so far. I do have a Dual display on a ProStar laptop.

thanks,
Bryce

Are you using the recommended screen resolution?

I don’t think that has anything to do with the preferences though.

It probably doesn’t, but I am using the recommended screen resolution of 1680×1050

That probably doesn’t have to do with the preferences, except that it resets the window size and positions ever time I reopen PS when I think it should remember that.
