Hope some bright person out there can help.
On right clicking on a file, & thus briniging up the context menu, I used to have as an option "Edit with Photoshop". Alas this has dissappeared.
Any ideas how to get it back ?
(There is "Edit" in the context menu, which opens the file in Paint. I would not mind changing the path so it opened the file in Photoshop, if I knew how.I’d prefer to have the "Edit with Photshop" option back, but this would be an ok alternative).

Apologies for lack of clarity.
Right clicking on jpg file or other graphics file that is stored in "Pictures" or other such folder.

Never saw that in the menu. Only edit. AFAIK, that works off the same command as the open with.

Thanks for thoughts on this. "Edit with Photoshop" was there though, & it was quite handy. I like to open my files in Irfan Viewer, & don’t want to change that. I’ve tried to see see if could change things via "folder options"> "file types" butthere only seems to be the option of changing which program opens a file.
I tried reinstalling using Photoshop 9.02 but no restoration of "Edit with Photoshop" . Oh well. Maybe the answers out there & somneone knows it. Thanks again.

Sounds like something that TweakUI might be able to do, but I don’t have that installed and have no intention of doing so.

You don’t need TweakUI (some functions of which have caused problems with file handling).

You were in the right place in Folder Options but you have to go into "Advanced". If the button is not available, reset to defaults and then try.

I messed around in there for ages before getting things how I wanted 🙁

Many thanks, John. That’s done it. I had beenlooking for the advanced option but on all the graphic files it had it was not there. I never tried "restore". until after your helpful advice.
Good stuff 😀
