batch format conversion (dpx to jpeg)

Hi

I need to convert thousands of DPX files to JPEG files … how best do I undertake this task … can I do this from photoshop / CS2 suite ?!?

Open a non-JPEG image. Record a new action in which you Save AS a JPEG. Only change the image format, not the filename or location. End recording.

File > Automate > Batch. Choose hte newe action and both a Source and a Destination folder. Click on the button below the Destination folder’s name, called something like "Override Save As destination…" Something like that. It’s a stupid name, but it means that the destination folder you set in the Batch dialogue will be used instead of the Destination folder in the recorded action.

If you want to preserve an existing folder structure you’ll have to run the batch once for each folder, and create the destination folders yourself.
