First, I would like to know if there is anyway to add a watermark to pictures, that will only show up only when the photo is printed. My husband and I are starting a business out of our home, and have been talking with several photographers. A few of them have asked us this question, and we have not come up with anything yet. I have PS 7.0, and have found nothing in it to help me. Any ideas?

Also, I was wondering how to go about making a composite for a photography lab, that has the photos in the shape of the subjects name. For instance, Billy will have 5 separate pictures, one in the shape of each letter in his name. Any help would be much appreciated, thank you.

Go to the link http://www.tutorialhunt.com/ and do a search, there are tutorials about watermarks and inserting images in type there

Take Care,

For the first question, I do not know but I sure would. I place my name (and studio’s name) in one corner of the image. If the client really does not want that (and the times are very few), then I place my name and notice on the border.

For the second, how about using text in mask mode. Use very big letters, something wide like Cooper. Position it over the image layer and copy. Then place that copy on a new image, each letter in its own layer. That way, you can position the letters any way you want. Then for the background, add some color and some texture (and whatever else you want — such as your studio’s name) and you are done. For the layers with the letters, you can use the blending options to get some pretty cool effects.

Hope this helps.
