HELP WITH THIS PIC

I used a soft focus filter with this and need help trying to repair. The backlighting is to much also. What can i do to improve this using photoshop cs.What do i need to do or not do when shooting the original.

Back lighting just mask and level. If you’re talking about the picture being out of focus, sharpening filter can only do so much.

Next time leave the camera sharp and soften it non-destructively in Photoshop.

Then you can always go back!
