Would anybody know how to go about duplicating the EA Sports games backgrounds? Or maybe create something that looks similar. Thanks for the help.

Hi Andrew,
The question seems broad, but maybe it’s because I am not an EA sports game player. However, it is not uncommon to define patterns (place pixels>Crop>Edit>Define Pattern) for use as backgrounds.

Good luck,

Can you tell us, or better show us, what an ES Sports games background looks like. Then we might be able to help.

Having never played any EA games (my love is arcade games from the 70s and 80s) I don’t know what they look like, but my guess would be a combination of PS textures and procedural textures. Explore your 3D software for more on those

Ah, so it’s not the background of the games, but the background of the promo materials.

Loks like a simple texture layered with various bands of grey and layer masks to determine opacity. Nothing too complicated
