Does anyone know what software plastic surgeons use to take a picture of a patient face, other body parts and make adjustments so the patients can see what they will look like after surgery.

Custom software, written just for that purpose and not available at CompUSA.

CAPS (Computer Aided Plastic Surgery) software typically retails for about $36,000 per seat, or more. It’s extremely specialized 3D visualization software and can often import 3D models from MRI scanners, cameras, and the like.

You thinking about going into the field? 🙂

That’s what happens when you are posting and the phone rings, what I meant to ask was
Does anyone know what software plastic surgeons use to morph a picture of a
patient’s face or other body parts. They are able to show what the before and after will look like.

You don’t really need the heavy duty surgeon’s morphing software, do you? I mean, are you going to enter in age, race, tissue characteristics, nerve maps, skull shape, anomalies, pathology, donor data and all those biometrics? Seriously?

Or do you just want some morphing software? There’s a lot. Surf for "morphing software" and be happy. Or not.
