I am using Photoshop CS version 8.0 and I have a picture I am trying to use to to a window etching. I don’t know if anyone knows what that is. Well since what I am trying to do is all custom I am trying to figure out how to use Photoshop to make my own stencil. A stencil I can print out on to regular printer paper and then cut out the sections I need to cut out, like a sticker…. does anyone understand? I don’t know how else to explain it. If you need more detail don’t hesitate to ask and I will see what I can do to help with it.

Okay, so, do you mean like typing text in big letters and cutting them out with an exacto knife?

I don’t get what you don’t know how to do – I will say though, that many of the features of image editing programs that are user friendly and one button solutions don’t really exist in photoshop. That means that in true Frank Lloyd Wright fashion (form follows function), you must plan out what is a positive and what is a negative and then draw or paint it from scratch.

Of course it’s not a big deal to take a picture of a partridge and stroke it with a thick black line, then delete the inside of the bird so that you can just have an outline, and then cut it out after printing. But really, it’s not entirely clear what you don’t know.
