I get the message "could not complete your request because of missing or invalid personalization information". Do I have to completely reinstall?

Does it do anythihg at startup? Display the splash escreen or anything?

It’s always worthwhile to try resetting Preferences first. Might do the trick.]

I gave up and just reinstalled everything and now it is working. Thanks to all who replied
