I receive PDF files from clients that are 8.5 x 11, 300DPI, CMYK that are under 200k in size.

If I create a similar PDF, TIFF or PSD file, 8.5×11, 300DPI, CMYK (or RGB), it is 10mb or more even when the layers are merged. They are then too large to e-mail to my clients.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanx!

What you’re doing wrong is creating PDFs in Photoshop.

I can be pretty sure the PDFs you were looking at were not created in Photoshop and contain mostly vector info with some small graphics.

Hi Bob:

So what would I use then?
Quark? (which I hate…but if it works….)
