I get these two problems with photoshop

Problem One:

You currently have Adobe Photoshop’s primary Scratch and Windows’ primary paging file on the same volume, which can result in reduced performance. It is recommended that you set Adobe Photoshops’ primary Scratch volume to be on a different volume, preferably on a different physical drive.

Problem Two:

The monitor profile "" appears to be defective. Please rerun your monitor calibration software.

Optimizing scratch disc

For paging file, Go to:: my computer/properties/advanced/performance options/applications..change. Set the paging file so that it is on a seperate drive from the operating system.

For monitor profile:
control panel/adobe gamma
set the gamma for the monitor you are using.

Uh, you could do that, but it’s far better usually to set the scratch disk to a different drive rather than move your OS’s pagefile to another drive. Especially if you are a novice. I would recommend setting your OS’ swap file to a different drive only in rare circumstances.

The most sage advice about the message you are receiving is this: if you have a second hard drive, change the scratch disk in Photoshop to that drive under Edit|Preferences|Plug-Ins and Scratch Disks. Even if you only have one drive, change it from Startup to C: and the message will go away.

It’s a courtesy message to let you know that you could get better performance out of photoshop if you set the scratch disk to a different volume. No harm will come if you leave it as is.
