Hi Folks,

I’ve been trying to use PS7 to correct a photo in which the subjects were underexposed due to backlighting. I adjusted the Levels midpoint slider to 1.50, which brings the overall brightness of the subjects to about where it should be. The faces, however, then became very light and thin looking, so I increased the Saturation to +25. This looks fine on two different monitors that I’ve viewed it on, but when I get a Kodak print made, the faces are still too light and thin looking. Is there a better procedure to properly solve this problem for both the display and the print?

Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Ken,

How’s your monitor calibration? see;

If OK, try copying the layer and setting the blending mode to either darken, multiply, linear burn or color burn and adjusting the opacity to suit.
