I’m trying to help set up a new LCD monitor for an elderly professional photographer. Using the Custom DPI setting under Windows and resizing the icons I can make the native resolution usuable for his failing eyesight however when he loads Photoshop (think it’s CS2) all the toolbars and layer windows are tiny.

Does Photoshop not take the Windows DPI setting into account? And if not, is there a way to make the toolbars bigger without leaving the LCD’s native resolution (1440×1050)?

Any help is greatfully received.

Rather than monkey with screen resolution, you might consider a magnifier:

Thanks for the suggestions.

I had a look at the screen magnifier website. An interesting idea but they only seem to have up to 19" and the LCD is 20". I’ll have a look around to see if anyone does a larger one and can supply in the UK.

I’ll download the Desktop Magnifier and try it out next time I’m round there.

Is it actually possible to customise/add to the various toolbars and windows?
