I am wanting to fix up an old photo of my boss from when he was a teenager (in the late 1940s). I’ve done quite a bit of airbrushing, fixed the dust and scratches, and even given it a bit of a blurred background to more of a focus on him. The one area I’m not familiar with is fixing contrasts. The image has no depth. Looks like the subject was steamrolled against the wall. Assuming there is not a James Bond "auto depth" filter I can slap on it, but could someone maybe offer basic guidance on sharpening up/filling up an old photo?
