PhotoShop CS2
Dell Computer
Windows XP Professional
1.00 GB Ram
Hello, after installation of PhotoShop CS2 I have developed a problem with fax communications, which are routed through my computer, accessed with a fax console and normally viewed with "Windows Picture and Fax Viewer".
The faxes are now opened in "Adobe ImageReady CS2" and I receive a warning stating that Adobe ImageReady CS2 cannot read or write this file. Please use PhotoShop to open files of this type. (error# 30501).
I would like to keep the "Windows Picture and Fax Viewer" as my default fax viewer, as it is quick and simple. If there is not a way around that, then I will accept opening them in PhotoShop. The problem is that I don’t have a clue as how to get it to open in PhotoShop instead of ImageReady.
BTW, I did speak with an Adobe tech and without knowing what type of file the faxes are then they cannot help me resolve this issue. Right click a fax and go to "properties" and the only info it gives is file size, duration and speed.
Thanks in advance if anyone could possibly help me with this issue. Joe
